Joseph McPherson Obituary

West Columbia – Joseph McPherson AKA JW, Jay, 38, went to be with his heavenly Father on Monday, May 10th 2021. He was born in Camden SC, son of Taaka Dorman and the late Randy McPherson.

Joseph enjoyed fishing with his mother, studying at Paul Mitchell school of Hair Design and had planned on a very successful career. Joseph also enjoyed spending time with friends, family, and dogs. Mr. McPherson is survived by his partner of 13 years, Harrison Duke; brother, Daniel Lee (Melissa Lee); 2 nieces, Julia and Kate Lee; maternal grandfather, Percy Lee; 2 aunts, Rozalyn Moore and Terrie Allred; 3 uncles, Brad Lee, Leslie Lee, and Ricky McPherson; several cousins; and paternal grandmother, Margaret Colvin.

He was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Patricia Lee; paternal grandfather, Malcom McPherson; and 2 uncles, Mike McPherson and Scott McPherson.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel is assisting the family.
