Joseph Everette Brown

Batesburg—Funeral Services for Joseph Everette Brown, 79, will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at St. John’s United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Ridge Crest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. John’s UMC, 513 W. Church St, Batesburg-Leesville, SC 29006. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Historic B-L Chapel, is assisting the family.

  Mr. Brown passed away Saturday, October 16, 2021.  Born in Kingstree, he was the son of the late Samuel Everett and Leta Smith Brown. He retired from SCE&G after 28 years as an Agricultural Engineer.  Mr. Brown was a member of St. John’s UMC, Methodist Men’s Group, Church Council, the Emmaus of the Midlands Community and was an Army Veteran.

  Surviving are his wife Mary Church Brown; sons, Joseph Daniel Brown, William Christopher Brown (Helen); daughter, Catherine Brown Whetstone (John); grandchildren, Jake, Griggs, Everett and Emma.
