Johnnie M Gardner

Columbia- Johnnie Morris Gardner, 72, was promoted to Heaven on Wednesday, July 21, 2021. He was born on September 9, 1948, to the late Fred Morris and Oneida Genelle Hyman Gardner.

   Johnnie was the founder and director for the Voice of the Unborn for 30 plus years.  He enjoyed preaching and sharing the gospel to everyone he met.  Johnnie received Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior in 1974. He was a faithful member of Gantt Street Baptist Church.

    Surviving include his wife of 36 years, Kathy P. Gardner; two sons, Edward M. Gardner (Sonja) Bothell, WA, and John D. Gardner Camden, SC; and sister, Bennie Faye Sturkie (Arthur). He was predeceased by two brothers, Tommy, and Larry Gardner. 

    Funeral Service will be held 11 am Saturday, July 24, 2021 at Gantt Street Baptist Church 2121 Gantt Street Cayce, SC 29033. Burial will follow at Olympia Cemetery. Pallbearers are Steve Lefemine, Charles Butler, Joe Case, Charlie Miles, Keith Bledsoe, Rep. Josiah Magnuson, and Pastor Steven Williamson Visitation will be 10 am to 11 am prior to the service at the church.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gantt Street Baptist Church Missionary Fund. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel is assisting the family.
