John "Trez" Turner, Jr.

John “Trez” Turner, Jr. passed away on December 23, 2025. He was born on October 2, 1954 in Columbia, SC to the late J. Trez, Sr. and Betty Rae Turner. 

Survivors include his daughter, Jessica Harms of Summerville, SC; brother, Michael Turner (Nina) of Watertown, TN; and many other loved ones and friends. 

He was predeceased by his wife of 38 years, Mae Waller-Turner; both parents; and grandparents, George and Mildred Holley. 

Trez retired from the SC Dept of Corrections in 2018 and since then enjoyed being at home with his animals. 

A graveside service will be held 11am Saturday, January 3, 2026 at Old Lexington Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make donations in Trez memory to CPOF at www.cpof.org. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel is assisting the family.
