John Monroe Mintz passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2022 at the age of 81.
Upon graduation, he enlisted in the Marines and served proudly from 1961 to 1964. He has worked in a men's clothing store, as an architectural draftsman, had his own real estate company, was a financial credit manager and delivered DME equipment. John enjoyed his hobbies making and selling bow ties, Little Golden Book decorative birdhouses, washer board games, and making painted ladder back chairs for planters. He was a long time blood donor.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Margaret Aaron Mintz of West Columbia, SC; son, Richard (Corrine) Mintz of Charleston, SC; brother, Richard C. (Carolyn) Mintz of St. John's, Florida; granddaughters, Isla D. Mintz of Charleston, SC, and Zoe E. Mintz (Mother Ginger (Jim) Millen) of James Island, SC.
He was predeceased by his parents, Oleata P. (Tommy) Wolfe of Garden City, SC and John R. Mintz of Florida and a daughter, Deborah Rene Mintz, who died in 2000.

A visitation will held 2 pm to 4pm, Saturday, November 26, 2022 at Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel, 609 Northwood Road, Lexington, SC 29071.
