John Kenneth Harrelson, 77, of Lexington, South Carolina, entered his heavenly home on Thursday, November 27, 2025.
Born on December 11, 1947, in Mullins, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Hubert and Edna Harrelson.
John is survived by his devoted wife, June White Harrelson; and their children, Brandie H. Padgett (Jeff Padgett), J. Mark Harrelson (Sandy Harrelson), and W. Scott Harrelson (Liz Harrelson). He was the proud grandfather of Rachael, Jacob, Hunter, Cruz, McKenna, Madilynn Kate, and Roland Kenneth.
He is predeceased by his sisters, Bernice Harrelson and Sandra Sherrill; and his brothers, Laverne H. Harrelson, Wayne Harrelson, Russell Harrelson; and his grandson, McKinley Harrelson.
John lived a whole and hardworking life. He retired from the car business after more than 40 years, spending half of his career as the Parts Department Manager at Stiver’s Lincoln Mercury. Before that, he honorably served his country in the United States Army as a Helicopter Repairman, receiving his discharge in 1970.
John enjoyed fishing, watching NASCAR, woodworking, grilling, and any chance to be outdoors. His shop was where he spent much of his time tinkering; it was a place that brought him peace and genuine happiness.
John was known for his loving spirit, quick humor, and gentle nature. He cherished time with family and friends, and his warm smile and easygoing personality made him deeply loved by everyone who knew him.
