John Boyd Gantt

A memorial service for John Boyd Gantt, 65, will be held 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at Forgiven Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Forgiven Baptist Church, 713 Main St., West Columbia, SC 29169.

Mr. Gantt passed away Friday, November 20, 2020. Born in Charlotte, NC, he was the son of the late Boyd Odel and Betty Crow Gantt. Mr. Gantt was very involved with Forgiven Baptist Church, loved God, and helped everyone that needed a hand. He had a very dry sense of humor that caught others off guard and loved meeting and talking with people.

Surviving include his wife of 30 years, Debra Gantt; sons, Eric and Wade Gantt; daughter, Kristen Gantt; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and one grand doggy, Dixie.

He was predeceased by his step-son, Timmy Senn; and sister, Deborah Gantt. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel, is assisting the family.
