JoAnn Barrick Obituary

The Lord called JoAnn Barrick, 65, home on November 18, 2021 after an extended illness. She was born in Millville, NJ and was the daughter of late William Tomlin Sr. and Geraldine "Judy" Bova. She is survived by her son Michael (Donna) Barrick, and daughter, Melisa Barrick, four grandchildren Mallorie Ferrigno, Jackie Burnett and Cameron and Cooper Barrick, four sisters, Janet (Franke) Spinelli, Judith (Mike) Priest, Christa Bova, Tara Tomlin, two brothers, William (Dorothy) Tomlin Jr, Wayne (Tricia) Tomlin and many nieces and nephews and her fur-babies, Daisy, Dougie and Sammie.
She was preceded in death by her husband, and the love of her life, Douglas Barrick
JoAnn worked 20 years as a Store Manager at Wawa.  She owned and operated her very own country craft store, Country Treasures. After that, she worked as a Caretaker at the Vineland Developmental Center. JoAnn enjoyed taking care of the ladies there and often called them her babies. She spent her last 10 years retired and living in South Carolina.
JoAnn treasured spending time with her children and grandchildren. They were her true riches in life. She also enjoyed playing card games on the computer and made many internet friends along the way. She enjoyed playing Yahtzee with her grandchildren and watching her favorite shows, Golden Girls, Reba, True Crime, ID channel, Family Feud, The Chase, Shark Tank, America Says and her favorite movies, Sweet Home Alabama, Pretty Woman, The Godfather, Splendor in the Grass and the Notebook.
Additionally, JoAnn was a phenomenal cook and made the best family potato salad, hamburger cakes, macaroni and tuna, chicken pot pie and chicken cutlets. She enjoyed having family and friends over while drinking coffee and sharing many laughs and memories during those times. She was also a talented decorator and artist. She made dolls and painted primitive wood pieces, which she sold in her country store. Her best talent was the gift of giving. JoAnn loved to give to her family and never expected anything in return. She is now rejoicing in the comfort of our Lord and will be wholeheartedly missed until we are reunited in Heaven. Services will be private at the family’s request. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel is assisting the family.
