Jimmy Harold Woods, Sr.

Jimmy Harold Woods, Sr., 84, of Cayce, SC, passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 2021.  Services will be held Saturday, February 20, 2021 at 12pm in Broadacres Baptist Church, Cayce, SC.  The family will greet friends from 10am-12pm at the church.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Broadacres Baptist Church.  Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel, is assisting the family.

Jim was born in Ware Shoals, SC to the late Dora Estelle Davis and Luther Rudolph Woods.  He proudly served in the National Guard, and was a Deacon at Broadacres Baptist Church.  He also served on various committees at the church. 

Jim loved God, his family, church, and neighbors.  You could always find Jim rocking on the front porch, waving at passersby, available and always willing to help, offer advice and opinions whether it was asked for or not.  He was affectionately known as The Pine Lane Advisor.  His avid love for flowers, plants, and all things related to lawn maintenance can be seen in his front and back yards, traits he passed onto his sons.  If you had questions about your yard, he was the man to ask.  His other loves included his koi pond, the Braves, and the Gamecocks.

Jim is survived by his loving wife, Malinda Woods; his sons, Jimmy Woods, Jr. (Wendy), Chris Woods (Lisa), and Tony Woods (T.K.); his grandchildren, Tyler, Ramsey, Christopher, and Alexander; and his beloved Boston Terrier, Buddy.
