Jimmy Dalton Obituary

Jimmy Lewis Dalton, 80, of West Columbia, SC passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2020. Due to current restrictions, there will be no visitation, and only a private graveside service will be held Sunday, January 3, 2021 in Shiloh United Methodist Church, West Columbia, SC, with Rev. Sandie Stillinger officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation at contact@parkinson.org. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel, is assisting the family.

Mr. Dalton was born in Easley, SC to the late James L. Dalton and Azalee Ursery Dalton. He attended Shiloh UMC. Jimmy loved driving his Mack truck, visiting the mountains, and spending time with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

Jimmy is survived by his daughters, Bonnie Dunford (Tim), and Brenda VanKoughnett; grandchildren, Devan, Katie, Brenleigh, and Camryn; great-grandchildren, Cooper, Maddox, Jake, Banks, Jacob, Hudson, and Kinsley; and his brothers, Jack and Bobby Dalton.

He was predeceased by his loving wife, Joyce Janette Dalton; son, Bradley L. Dalton; daughter, Wilma Lynn Dalton; granddaughter, Amanda Lynne Geiger; great-grandchild, Alexis Strickland; and his sister, Jearl Dean Hanson.
