Janice Smith Cook passed away September, 17, 2021. She is survived by Jack Cook, her husband of 41 years; son and daughter-in-law, Jeremy and Shawn; daughter, Christi; and grandchildren, Austyn, Macy, and Lizzy. Janice is also survived by her mother, Gwen Smith and her mother-in-law, Edna Cook; her siblings, Deborah (Wayne), Kathy (Leslie), Michael (Kari), Donny (Denise); her brother and sister-in-law, Keith and Tammy (Mike); her Mollie Girl, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
She was a Wife, Mama, Mops, Aunt, Daughter, and Friend to all of those who knew her. She loved her family unconditionally and without abandon. One of the greatest common themes of those who loved her was she never missed a birthday, anniversary, or any other significant life event. Countless family members said they knew that their first call, on those special days, was going to be from her. All those fortunate enough to have known her were touched by her love and compassion. As we move forward, we see her in the small things. She left her fingerprints on everything around us, the precious times we shared together, the memories we made, the lessons learned.
The family will hold an informal celebration of life at the family home from 2-4 PM on Saturday September 25, 2021. There will be no formal service, just a time to come and pay respects to the family and Janice’s memory.
Family Address: 728 Ruth Vista Road, Lexington, SC 29073.
