James Smith Paton, 77, of West Columbia, SC died on May 12, 2023. Born December 1, 1945, he was a son of the late Jack and Maria Stiller Panter.
James is survived by his wife, Cheryl Paton; son, Scott (Becky) of Lyman, SC; three grandchildren: Victoria (Austin) Somero of Landrum, SC; Jennifer (Joseph) Clontz of Spartanburg, SC; Scottie Paton of Lyman, SC; and three great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Mike Paton.
