James "Ronnie" Ronald Williamson

Ronnie smiled two big smiles right before us as he entered the arms of God. Awaiting him at the pearly gates with hugs were his mom, dad, and grandmother, we are sure of it. Ronnie bravely battled his 76 years of life that he was given with no complaints. He always had a smile on his face, a story to tell –even if it was ‘made up’- he made you laugh. He loved his ‘sista’ and welcomed her at each weekly visit with, “There’s my ‘sista’. I love you!” He was truly loved by everyone he met. He will be deeply missed, forever remembered and always loved. He will be missed terribly but knowing he is whole again makes us happy. We will see him again in heaven!

He was predeceased by his loving parents, Legare “Tunk” and Ruth Williamson; and brother, LeeGene Williamson and his wife, Iris.

He survived by his devoted sister, Dora Elrod (Pete); his nieces, Kristi Elrod, Wendy Garringer, Cindy Sutphin; his nephew, Randy Elrod (Dacia); his great nephews, Trey Elrod (Elizabeth) and Justin Elrod; his great-great niece, Annabell; and beloved great –great nephew, RW. Each one held a special space in his heart who he asked about each visit.

A graveside service will be held 1pm Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at Southland Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please send memorials to Red Bank Baptist Church - “Missions” to 1357 S Lake Dr. Lexington, SC 29073. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
