James Robert "Jimmy" Walsh, Jr. Obituary

James Robert “Jimmy” Walsh, Jr., 67, passed away on February 9, 2026, in Lexington, South Carolina.

Born on May 29, 1958, in Indiana, Pennsylvania, Jimmy was the son of the late Jim and Peggy Walsh. He grew up surrounded by a close-knit family and carried the values instilled in him throughout his life—selflessness, kindness, hard work, and love.

Jimmy shared his life with his beloved wife, Candy Walsh. Together they built a family rooted in love and support. He was a devoted father to his son, Joshua Walsh (Lauren), and daughter, Hanna Walsh-Scaturro (Kristen). His pride in his children was evident to all who knew him. He was a cherished grandfather to his precious granddaughter, Kyle, who brought him immense joy.

He is also remembered by his siblings: sisters, Beth Wilson and Carrie Schilling (Barry), and brother, Jack Walsh (Wendi). He is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Robin Walsh Andrews, and brother, Jeff Walsh.

Jimmy had a deep appreciation for the outdoors. He found joy in hunting, fishing, and shrimping—activities that brought him peace and a sense of connection with nature. More than anything else, he cherished time spent with family. Whether gathered around a table or out on the water, those moments were what he held most dear.

A visitation will be on Thursday, February 12th from 5:00 - 7:00pm at Barr-Price Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. The funeral service will be held at Lexington United Methodist Church on Friday, February 13th at 12:00pm.

Jimmy’s legacy lives on through the many lives he touched with his generous spirit, unwavering dedication, and enduring love for his family. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved him.
