Obituary
Funeral services for James “Harold” Corder, 96, will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Historic B-L Chapel with Rev. Dennis Metts officiating. Burial will follow at Ebenezer Southern Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.
Mr. Corder passed away Friday, May 12, 2023. Born in Leesville, he was the son of the late Julius R. and Pansy M. Smith Corder. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving in WWII and owned and operated Corder and Sons for 70 years.
Surviving are his sons, Robert “Bubba” Corder (Robin), Mike T. “Pig” Corder (Kay), David A. Corder (Amy); daughter, Teresa Bennett (Jim); grandchildren, Roscoe Corder (Andrenia), Mitchell Corder (Dennise), Stephanie Lee (Scotty), Dr. Michael Alex Corder, Kayla Hite; great-grandchildren, Hayden Anderson, Laynah Anderson, Addy Corder, Ryker Corder, Cooper Corder; granddog, Chloe and grandcat, Simba.
He was predeceased by his wife, Betty Alexander Corder and a sister, Artie Cleave Wheeler
