James David Snead Jr.

James “Jimmy” David Snead, Junior passed away on May 9, 2021 at the age of 53. Born on December 6, 1967 at Fort Polk, LA to Margaretha “Margie” Snead and the late James David Snead, Senior, Jimmy was raised in Columbia, SC. Following graduation from Richland Northeast High School, he proudly served in the United States Air Force. Jimmy fulfilled his childhood dream of being a truck driver and served in that capacity for 20+ years of his life. He enjoyed dirt bikes, motorcycles, camping, NASCAR and other outdoor activities. More than anything, Jimmy loved his children. He will be deeply missed by his friends and loved ones.

Jimmy is survived by his children, Jordan Grafov (Alex) and James Austin Snead; his mother, Margie Snead; his sisters, Andrea Hollis (Jay) and Theresa Van Rees; his grandchildren, Blake Grafov and Bella Grace Grafov; his nieces, Haley Hollis and Taylor Van Rees; and nephew Connor Van Rees. He is preceded in death by his father, James David Snead, Senior.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at Fort Jackson Cemetery.Barr-Price Funeral  Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel is assisting the family.
