Jacob Sidney Rish (September 22, 1953 - September 24, 2025) of Lexington, South Carolina. Jacob grew up in Little Mountain, South Carolina and was one of four brothers. He graduated from Chapin High School. Jacob was a hardworking and dedicated individual to his job as a machine operator at the GE factory in Irmo, South Carolina. He was a kind man who never hesitated to offer his time to family, friends, and strangers alike. He enjoyed the simpler things in life such as gardening, fishing, and camping whilst sharing those experiences with family and friends.
Surviving Jacob is his son, Jason Rish (Jill) and his grandchildren, Alana Rish and Jamison Rish.
Jacob Sidney was predeceased by his father, Jacob H. Rish; his mother, Millie Eargle Rish; his wife, LaVon Steele Rish; and infant son, Jamison Scott Rish.
A graveside inurnment service to celebrate Jacob Sidney's life will be held on Friday, October 3, 2025, at 5:00 pm at Red Bank United Methodist Church, 2909 Old Barnwell Road, Lexington, South Carolina, 29073. The service is under the direction of Barr-Price Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. Jacob Sidney's life was marked by resilience and service, and as we gather to remember and celebrate his life, we invite you to share in the memories of this remarkable man.
