Jackie Frick

Services for Robert D. “Jackie” Frick, 79, passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2025.  Born in Lexington County on February 8, 1946, he was a son of the late Leonard G. “Lent” and Martell Price Frick and was married to the late Shirley Jean Waters Frick.

Jackie graduated from Batesburg-Leesville High School, worked at the IGA in Leesville for 28 years prior to retiring from Michelin.  He was a member of Wittenberg Lutheran Church and was a proud Volunteer Firefighter with the Leesville Fire Department.    In his spare time he loved anything outdoors, especially crappie fishing and rabbit hunting.

Surviving are his children Cricket Leaphart and Todd Frick (Chancie); grandchildren, Samantha Maroney (Justin), Rebecca Leaphart and Skyler Frick; great-grandchildren, Scarlett Connelly, Ariel Maroney, and Madison Maroney, sisters, Nancy Tarver (Rudy) and Judy Padgett; nieces, nephews, family and friends.

In addition to his wife,  he was predeceased by a son-in-law, Rev. Ricky Leaphart, and brothers, Eddie V. Frick and Leonard Frick.

Services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Sunday at Wittenberg Lutheran Church with the Rev. Keith Getz officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wittenberg Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 3447, Batesburg-Leesville SC 29070. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Historic Batesburg-Leesville Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
