J. Keith Oxner, Jr.

Services for Javas  Keith  Oxner, Jr., 76, of Leesville will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at Mt. Hebron Lutheran Church with the Rev. Christopher Shealy officiating. Burial with Masonic rites will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mt. Hebron Lutheran Church, 4765 Summerland Highway, Leesville SC 29070. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Historic Batesburg-Leesville Chapel is assisting the Oxner family with arrangements.

Keith passed away at his home peacefully on Sunday May 31, 2026. He was born January 28, 1950 in Columbia, South Carolina to the late Javas K. “Skin” Oxner, Sr, and Joan Whitman Oxner. Keith worked in the textile industry where he retired from J.B. Martin Co. after 51 ½ years of service. He was a lifelong, 6th generation member of Mt. Hebron Lutheran Church. Keith grew up from a family of musicians and he began playing in bands at 13 years old. He was a member of the Batesburg-Leesville Masonic Lodge #138 and a member of the Jamil Shrine Temple. Keith also enjoyed a good round of golf with his friends at the Ponderosa Country Club.   

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Martha Kyzer Oxner; daughters, Becky Oxner and Carlin Shealy (Kevin); grandchildren, Courtney Drafts (Chad), Megan Kneece (Matthew), Kellen Shealy, and Caleb Shealy; great-grandchildren, Eli Kneece, Emmaline Kneece, and Lynleigh Drafts; bonus grandchildren, Madison Drafts, Alaina Drafts, and Isaac Prior; brothers, David Oxner (Martha) and Tommy Oxner (Betty); sisters, Robin Rawl (Russell) and Kay Oxner; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was predeceased by a brother Mark Oxner.
