Ima Dale Bedenbaugh

Ms. Ima Dale Bedenbaugh, 77, passed away at home peacefully on Friday, September 12, 2025. She was born on December 20, 1947 in Lexington County, South Carolina to the late John Bennet “JB” and Ethel Lee Nell Craps Bedenbaugh.

Ima Dale was a member of Union Lutheran Church, where she taught Sunday school, worked with the Lutheran Church Youth, and was a Big Sister volunteer with Big Brothers and Big Sisters. She worked in the dental industry, where she was a dental assistant. Ima Dale was also a member of the American Dental Assistants Association. She loved her plants and beautiful flowers. Ima Dale had a special love for animals, especially dogs and cats. Her warm hearted soul and cheerful wit often made it easy for children to connect with her. Ima Dale had a kind heart that was always welcoming. She often had a treat that expressed her compassion and love for the children in her life.

Surviving are her brothers, Lyn Bedenbaugh (Ann) and Trant Bedenbaugh (Debra); nieces, Leigh Ann Tollison (Phil), Angela Bedenbaugh, Amanda Driggers (Jeremy); great-nieces, Breslyn Bedenbaugh, Paisley Driggers, Sadie Driggers and Scarlett Driggers; and a great-nephew, Brock Tollison.

Funeral services will be conducted 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at Union Lutheran Church with the Rev. Lance Henderson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the services. In lieu of flowers; memorials may be made to Union Lutheran Church, 4077 US-378, Leesville SC 29070.
