Henry Ellis Berry

Henry Ellis Berry, 82, of Ward, SC, passed away peacefully at home with his family at his side on Sunday, July 6, 2025.  Born in Newberry County, he was a son of the late Joe Ellis and Brunell Grant Berry.  He was a long haul truck driver by trade and was a lifelong Baptist.  He enjoyed time spent with family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Patricia Storey Berry, sons, Kelvin Berry (Amanda), Patrick Berry (fiancée Amy), and Chris Berry (Roxie); daughter, Lynn Gibson (Henry); 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, a brother, James Larry Berry and sisters, Margaret Frick and Jonell Gillian.

Services for Mr. Berry will be private and held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Edgefield Animal Control No Kill Shelter, 76 Rabbit Trail, Edgefield SC 29824.  Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Historic Batesburg-Leesville Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
