Services for Helen Pendergrass King, 79, will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church of Gilbert with the Rev. Mark Sanders officiating. Due to COVID-19 protocols, all persons in attendance must wear a mask. Burial will be held 12:00 p.m. Thursday, at The Carter Family Cemetery, 3295 Daisy Rd., Loris, SC 29569.In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Carter Family Cemetery Trust, P.O. Box 65, Loris SC 29569 or to First Baptist Church of Gilbert, 441 Lewie St. Gilbert, SC 29054.

Mrs. King passed away Sunday, July 5, 2020.  Born in Florence, she was a daughter of the late John Moore and Dorothy Pack Pendergrass.  She was a member of First Baptist Church of Gilbert and retired as an Administrative Assistant at Lexington County School District 3. 

Surviving are her husband of 57 years, Carroll B. King; sons, Carroll B. “Bucky” King, Jr. (Renee) and John Thomas King (Renee); son-in-law, Carl Vansant; sisters, Ruth Peterson and Carolyn Mathis; 4 grandchildren.  She was predeceased by her daughter, Cheryl K. Vansant.
