Funeral services for Hazel Perdue Miller, 92, will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at First Baptist Church of Leesville with Rev. Charles Leonhardt officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Ridge Crest Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Historic Batesburg-Leesville Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Miller passed away Friday, April 18, 2025. Born in Batesburg, she was a daughter of the late Sim W. and Dora Sammons Perdue. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Leesville, retired from Allied Chemical with over 25 years of service, and some of her happiest times were spent camping and singing with the Spirit Lifters group.
Surviving are her daughters, Sherri Lybrand (Jerald) and Johnna Smith (Greg “Possum”); son-in-law, Anthony Murrah; grandchildren, Jared Lybrand, Meghan Smith Blume, and Jocelyn Smith; great-grandchildren, Lilly, A.J., Emma, Addie, Alexis, Jorden, Kadence, Simon, Ava, Cannon, Bryce, Decker, and Everett. She was predeceased by her husband of 66 years, Ray “Pop-pop” Miller, a daughter, Ranie Murrah, a grandson, Matthew Murrah, a sister, Christine Corley, brothers, Jimmy and Rayford Perdue.
