Hazel Anne Ellington Kyzer, 76, of Red Bank, died Saturday, September 18, 2021. She was born October 7, 1944 in Lexington, SC., and was the daughter of the late Hazel Virginia Sharpe Ellington and Kenneth Burl Ellington.
Hazel lived a life in service to others, frequently bringing a warm pot of potato or vegetable soup to the sick. She was a longtime active member of St. James Lutheran Church, serving as a Sunday School teacher and Youth Group Leader. Hazel was office manager at the Fred Hiller Company for many years, but her favorite “job” was being Nanny to Anna.
In addition to Larry, her husband of almost 57 years, Hazel is survived by her daughter, JaCynthia (Cindy) Kyzer Schmitt, Cindy’s husband, Ron Schmitt and granddaughter, Anna Lauren Schmitt; siblings, Millie Morgan and Kenneth B. Ellington, Jr. (Debbie); sister-in-law, Treasha Ellington; and many nieces, nephews and godchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and godparents, Louis and Anne Davis; and brother, Curtis “Buddy” Ellington.

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, September 20, 2021 at Barr Price Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at St. James Lutheran Church, with burial in the church cemetery.
