Harry B. Elkins, Jr. Obituary

Harry Benjamin Elkins, Jr., 50, born in Columbia, South Carolina, also known as Bo, unexpectedly passed away on Wednesday, April 22nd, 2026.

Bo was born on July 23rd, 1975. He made his home in Irmo, South Carolina, where he built a life centered on hard work, love, and devotion to his family.

He is preceded in death by his Father, Harry Elkins Sr. and his sister, Lisa Elkins Howard.

Bo is survived by his high school sweetheart, best friend, and love of his life, Jamie Ray Elkins, whom he was happily married to for 32 years. Together they have four children: Harry Elkins III (Trey), Hayley Elkins, Jenna Elkins and Landon Ray.  He is also survived by his three cherished grandchildren: Kannon, Nova, and Paislee; as well as his mother, Alice Elkins.

Bo had a passion for welding, coaching, and inspiring future generations. He has been a Master Welder since the age of 17 and used his passion to teach others his craft. He has been coaching softball for 25 years, with 17 of those years being at Dutch Fork High School. He enjoyed watching his students and players grow and develop through learning life lessons.

Bo cherished taking his family to Lake Greenwood to fish, swim, listen to his music, and fellowship.  Bo will be remembered for his blue eyes, love for God, humor, strength, kindness, inspiring words, and unconditional love. The unconditional love was extended to those around him, especially his family. He was the definition of a family man and will always be remembered as the rock of our family.
