Harold Luther Vinson, Sr.

Graveside service for Harold Luther Vinson Sr., 67, will be held at 10:30 am Wednesday August 12, 2020 at Mt. Hebron UMC.

Mr. Vinson passed away unexpectantly Sunday August 9, 2020. He was born May 22, 1953 and was the son of Luther and Frances Vinson. He worked at Invista where he retired after 46 years of service. Harold was an avid hunter and fisherman, who loved the outdoors. He was a devoted husband; father, brother, uncle, grandfather and great-grandfather, who loved spending quality time with his family. He was a special welcoming man who never met a stranger. He was deeply loved and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his parents; his wife of 47 years, Rita Vinson; his children, Harold Vinson Jr. (fiancé Jennifer Cooper), Hope Ramsey (Neal), Heather Smith (Eric); grandchildren, Darsey Ramsey (fiancé Daniel Dorn), Tristan Vinson (fiancé Ali Gregory), Addie Porter, Chloe Smith; and great-grand Shanley Vinson. He was also survived by two brothers Tim Vinson (Pam), Kevin Vinson (Ann); two sisters Brenda Vicente, Jane Chavis (Chuck); and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Hebron UMC, cemetery fund or budget.
