Greg R. Shumpert

Greg R. Shumpert, of Lexington, passed away on June 1, 2023.  Greg was born in McKeesport, PA on December 26, 1958, a son of the late Bill and Darlene Shumpert.

Greg leaves behind a wife, Patti Shumpert of Lexington, SC; three children, Jeff Shumpert (Sara) of Columbia, SC, Joshua Shumpert (Cassy) of Batesburg, SC and Jenna Shumpert (Jason) of Batesburg, SC; 2 grandchildren of the home, Kinleigh and Aiden Shumpert; and 12 additional grandchildren.   He also leaves a beloved cousin, Cindy Harbert (Wayne) of McKeesport, PA.  

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by a sister, Shelly Ragan (Mike) and a beloved cousin and aunt from Pennsylvania. 

Greg coached youth football for many years, was a dedicated father, loved his grandchildren, and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Gamecock fan. Greg was loved and will be missed by many.

The family will receive friends Thursday, June 8, 2023 at Barr Price Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, from 5-6 pm with the service to follow at 6pm in the chapel. Burial will be private for family members only.
