Gloria Sharpe Mack, 90, of Gaston, SC went to her heavenly home on Sunday, May 8, 2022. Born in Lexington County on September 8, 1931, she was the daughter of the late W.A. and Callie Sharpe.
She was a lifelong member of Harmony Baptist Church, where she faithfully served as Sunday school treasurer and prayer warrior. She had a card ministry in which she always reached out to others who needed encouragement, love, prayer, or celebration. Gloria enjoyed 48 years of marriage to her one and only true love, Marshall Mack.
Mrs. Mack is survived by her three children, Wayne Mack (Linda), Wanda Smith (Charles), and Janice Reynolds (Phil); grandchildren, Jody Mack, Missy Rogers (Jeff), Danielle Branham (Ken), Michael Smith; great grandchildren, Hope Rogers, Briana Rogers, Parker Branham, Abby Grace Branham; brother, Bobby Sharpe (Luette); sister, Barbara Watts (Wilbur); and countless friends that she loved like family.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her siblings, Margie Smith, Ethel Baughman, and Sam Sharpe.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 11, 2022 from 6 pm - 8 pm at Barr Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel. Funeral services will be held 4 pm, Thursday, May 12, 2022 at Harmony Baptist Church, 1959 Woodtrail Drive, Gaston, SC 29053. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Mack will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service.
Gloria devoted her entire life to loving others deeply and wrote these words of advice several years ago: Always be kind to each other. Be patient and long suffering. Love each other as you would like to be loved. Trust in the Lord, and He will always be there for you. The family requests that everyone keep her memory alive by living by her words of wisdom.
