Funeral services for Gerald Davis, 68, will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 13, 2025 at Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Historic Batesburg-Leesville Chapel with Bishop Gerald Davis, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at St. John’s CME Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Gerald passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, December 7, 2025. He was born on April 18, 1957 in Leesville, South Carolina to the late Eddie and Elizabeth Rowe Davis. Gerald retired from the construction industry where he was a master carpenter. He owned and operated Gerald’s home Improvement for over 30 years. Gerald loved the Lord and was a faithful member of Brooklyn Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Reverend LaFreda Davis; sons, Bishop Gerald Davis, Jr. (Shanice), Jerrell Davis, Taverious Davis (Katreena); daughters, Nicole Brooks (Ron), Michelle Crowell (Joshua); brother, Michael Davis (Diane); sisters, Doreen Aird, Diane Owens (Sonny) and Nita Edwards (Calvin); 13 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; step-children, Jatorin Adams (Demetrich), Ferlandus Adams and Myra Adams; mother-in-law, Mary L. Adams; brothers-in-law, Bruce Adams, Frankie Adams (Diane), and Terence Adams; sisters-in-law, Toni Scurry (Bennie), Lisa Adams, and Niki Adams; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
