Gary John Bainer Obituary

Gary John Bainer passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2023. Born in Passaic, New Jersey, he was the son of the late John and Violet Beutelspacher Bainer. He was retired from the SC Army National Guard and was also a retired police officer. He was a devoted member of Kitti Wake Baptist Church. Mr. Bainer was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and had a loving relationship with the Lord.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Bainer is preceded in death by his wife, Joan Karen Bainer; brother, Dennis Bainer; and granddaughter, Madeline Sheppard.

Mr. Bainer is survived by his daughters, Janet Bainer Reamy (Jim), and Kathleen Sheppard (Jason); grandchildren, Eric Sheppard and Joshua Reamy; sister, Janet Bainer Luzzi (Alan). He is also survived by his companion, Kathy Branham, and his beloved dog, Lucky.

A private graveside service will be held at Fort Jackson National Cemetery at a later date. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel, is assisting the family.
