G. Bryan Jeffcoat

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Bryan Jeffcoat who left this world on July 3, 2026, at the age of 58. Born on August 24, 1967, in Columbia, South Carolina, Bryan lived a life defined by love, integrity, kindness, and unwavering devotion to his family and friends. He will be remembered for his generous heart, resilience, strength, remarkable sense of humor, and the countless lives he touched.

Growing up in Cayce, South Carolina, Bryan had a close family and loved being a part of it. He was the son of Barbara Jeffcoat and the late Eddie Jeffcoat. One of Bryan’s greatest passions was baseball. From the time he was a young boy through his high school years at Brookland-Cayce, he could almost always be found on a baseball field. A gifted athlete, he excelled as a pitcher earning the respect of teammates, coaches, and competitors alike. Baseball taught him discipline, perseverance, and teamwork- qualities that remained with him throughout his life.

Bryan was a proud graduate of the University of South Carolina and a member of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. He remained a devoted Gamecock fan throughout his life. Whether cheering from the stands or watching from home, he rarely missed an opportunity to support his beloved Gamecocks. Sports brought him great joy and created countless memories that he shared with family and friends. Bryan worked at the South Carolina Bookstore as a textbook manager for many years. After leaving the bookstore, he worked for the South Carolina State Surplus Property Office and then at the South Carolina Department of Education as a Program Coordinator for the Office of Instructional Materials.

Bryan loved grilling for his family and took pride in creating delicious meals on his Pit Barrel Cooker. Whether he was slow-smoking barbeque or grilling steaks, sharing good food was one of the many ways he showed his love and brought people together. He had a servant’s heart and loved being able to provide for others. He was constantly doing things for others behind the scenes.

Bryan was an avid collector of sports and movie memorabilia. He loved to display his collection in his man cave and could tell you anything you wanted to know about any of his pieces.

Bryan accepted the Lord as his Savior when he was young and attended State Street Baptist Church with his family growing up. As an adult, he was an active member of Cornerstone Church of West Columbia.

Above all, Bryan cherished his family. He was a devoted husband to the love of his life, Allison; a loving father so proud of his children, Sydney and Aiden; a caring father-in-law, to Dalton; and a doting Pappy to his grandson, Lawson. He was a caring brother, uncle, brother-in-law, and son-in-law. He will be greatly missed by all.

Bryan is survived by his devoted wife, Allison Jeffcoat; children, Sydney (Dalton) Mack, Aiden Jeffcoat; and grandson, Lawson Mack. He is also survived by his mother, Barbara Jeffcoat; siblings, Gordon (Paige) Jeffcoat and Kama (Chris) Staton; father-in-law, Len Hill; mother-in- law, Eva Lynn Hill; brother-in-law, Bert (Cari) Hill; nieces, Shelby (Connor) Ackim and Ainsley Staton; nephew, Tanner Staton; great niece, Charlotte Ackim and great nephew, Colter Ackim as well as other beloved uncles, aunts and cousins.

Bryan was a man of faith who lived life the way he wanted. We have peace in knowing he is now with Jesus in heaven. His memory will be cherished for generations to come.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, July 11, 2026 at State Street Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Memorials can be made to Cornerstone Church of West Columbia (building fund). Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
