Franklin Alvin Sharpe, born on December 23, 1956, in Lexington, South Carolina, passed away at his home with his sister, Lynda Glasser, by his side on October 22, 2025. Known for his warm spirit and kind heart, Franklin was a cherished member of the Lexington community where he resided his entire life. He worked at Herndon Chevrolet as a mechanic for many years. He was also a dedicated member of the local line crew. He devoted his professional life to ensuring the smooth operation of the electrical business that kept his beloved town running.
Franklin was widowed and is survived by his sisters, Joyce Sharpe (Randy Felder), Gene S. Oswald (Jerry), Lynda Glasser (Jonathan Darnell), Suzie Snyder (Steve); nieces and nephews, Candace Paxton (Ben), Mindy Price (Skip), Krystal Kaim (Chänce), Michael Glasser (Taylor). He is also survived by his aunt, Mary Ellen Cook.
He was predeceased by his father, Wilber Sharpe; mother, Imogene Hiatt; step-father, Climate "Creeper" Hiatt; nephew, Michael Jerry Oswald; wife, Sherry Frasier, and wife, Lori Pitts.
Franklin was a beacon of strength and resilience for his family, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 2:00 pm at Barr-Price Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, located at 609 Northwood Road, Lexington, South Carolina, 29072.
