Frank Tolen, Jr.

Frank Tolen Jr., 84, passed away Saturday, October 25, 2025 at Rice Estate in Columbia, SC. Frank was the oldest child born to the late John Frank and Essie Gantt Tolen. Frank was married to the late Marie Wigfall Tolen. Frank leaves to cherish his memories, daughters, Janet Wigfall, Rita Tolen Foster, Chrystal Vinson, Brenda Tolen, Precious Edmond, Tawanda Edmond; sons, Frank Tolen III, Lance Edmond; brother, Johnny Tolen, Mike Tolen, Calvin Tolen, E.T. Tolen; sisters, Patsy Williams, Molly Cannon, Elizabeth Walker, and Sara Tolen. Frank has 29 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, and friends.

Frank was predeceased by daughters, Marie Ann Tolen Cannon, and Betty Ann Tolen; sister, Bertha Mae Jennings, Debra Bosket; brothers, Ike Tolen and Tony Tolen; and a granddaughter, Alyce T. Jay.

Services will be 11:00 am Thursday at Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Historic Batesburg-Leesville Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
