Frank Shealy Obituary

Frank Bennett Shealy, 90, of Lexington, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2026 in Columbia, South Carolina. He leaves behind a remarkable legacy marked by unwavering faith, dedicated service to others, and a deep and enduring love for his family.

Born December 17, 1935, in Newberry, South Carolina, Frank was the son of the late Frank William Shealy and Viola Whittle Shealy. He graduated from Newberry County Schools and furthered his education at Newberry College and the University of South Carolina.

Frank honorably served his Country from 1953 to 1957 in the United States Air Force as an Air Policeman. His military service carried him to Okinawa, Japan, Texas, California, Alaska, and Tennessee. He received the National Defense Service Medal, Korean Service Medal, and United Nations Service Medal.

Following his service, Frank began a long and dedicated career with Ben Satcher Ford, where he worked faithfully until his retirement. He was a devoted member of Saluda River Baptist Church, where his deep faith and love for fellowship were central to his life.

Frank shared a beautiful life with his beloved wife, June Lee Shealy.

A devoted supporter of the South Carolina Gamecocks, Frank rarely missed a chance to cheer on his team and wore his garnet and black with pride. He and June traveled the world together supporting the Gamecocks, riding motorcycles, and exploring the world. He was an avid fisherman and golfer. He was also a member of the Harley Owners Group. He found special happiness at Surfside Beach, where he enjoyed peaceful days reading James Patterson by the ocean and riding his bicycle along the shore.

Frank will be remembered for his quiet strength, his unwavering faith, and his deep devotion to those he loved. His life was a testament to service, loyalty, and grace, and his legacy will continue in the many lives he touched.

He is survived by his devoted wife, June Lee Shealy; children, Doddie (Thomas) Trapp, Simon D. (Becky) Corley, and Tracey Lee (Laurel) Corley; grandchildren, Tiffany (Shelly) Rabon, Allison Corley, and Ashlee Corley; several great-grandchildren, niece. Dawn Dickert (Danny) James, and nephews, Dale Dickert and Dean Dickert. His family was his greatest joy and proudest accomplishment.

Frank was predeceased by his parents, Frank William Shealy and Viola Whittle Shealy; his sister, Nancy Shealy Dickert; and his children, Dana Shealy and Dennis Shealy.
