Frances W. Adams

Leesville-Frances Wilson Adams, 79, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, September 7, 2021. She was born in Lexington County to the late Alberta and Wyman Dennis. Frances had a love for people. She was a mother, a grams, and a true friend.

Those left to cherish her memory and celebrate her life are six children: Diane Adams of Lexington, SC., Annie (Levon) Gary of Gilbert, SC., Monica (Brian) Black of Lexington, SC., Melvin (Tawanda) Adams of Leesville, SC., Justin (Kim) Adams of Columbia, SC., and Helen (Tyrone) Samuels of Gilbert, SC; three siblings, Helen Davis, Carolyn (Eddie) Wigfall, and Forlinda (Sam) Jackson; seventeen grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; one God daughter, Aja Wilson; sisters-in-law, Corine Dennis of Gilbert, SC., Velma Jones of Canton, MS., Gladys (Ernest) Harvey of Chicago, IL., Dorothy Toliver of Glenwood, IL., and Louise (Greg) Caldwell of St. Cloud, FL.; brothers-in-law, Lee Johnson of Calumet Park, IL., Rob Johnson of Canton, MS, and James (Barbara) Johnson of South Holland, IL; special friend, Constance Carator Flemming; special son, Ken "My boy" Ludley; special daughter, Carolyn Carpenter; and many left to celebrate her life niece's, nephews  and friends who will dearly miss her.

She is predeceased by her parents; husband, Melvin Adams, Sr.; and brothers, Alphonso, Jimmy, David, and Morgan Dennis.

Graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Zion Hopewell Full Gospel Family Worship Center Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Friday, September 10, 2021 at Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel.
