West Columbia - Fed Lee Nash, 92, passed away peacefully in Lexington Medical Center on May 1, 2021. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel. A service will be held at a later date in Durham, NC. Please adhere to CDC Covid 19 protocol.
Dad was born in Louisburg, NC to the late John W. and Ethel D. Nash. He served in the US Army during the Korean War as a Medic. He had a long work history in the corrugated box industry including Mead Container in Durham, NC, and as co-owner of Action Container in Columbia, SC. After retirement, he drove for Avis Car Rentals. Dad was a busy, hard working man, working until the age of 92. He was loved by all that knew him and will be sorely missed by his bird of 30 years, Rascal.
He is survived by his son, Timothy L. Nash (Andy) of Winston-Salem, NC; daughters, Frances Nash Broome (Dale) and Marsha Nash Anderson (Robert), both of Lexington. He was loving Papa to Alyssa N. Torres (Jeff) of Bridgeville, DE, Lesley N. Walker (Drew) of Clemmons, NC, Chris Broome (Nicki) of West Columbia, Travis Broome (Becky) of Lexington, Chad Spradley (Pam) of Lexington and Tommy Wayne Noell of Gaston; great-grandchildren, Jessica, Nick and Zach Bishop, Alexandrea Gauntt, Wyatt Walker, Dylan Noell, Kaitlyn, Kourtney and Branson Broome, Cameron Shuttleworth, Briana Ramos, Tommy Noell, Jr; and, great great-grandchildren, Alex and Liam. Dad is also survived by his brother, Willard Nash of Louisburg, NC; sister, Sedonia Nash of Castalia, NC; and loving nieces and nephews.
Dad is preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Peggy Joyce Nash; stepson, Tommy R. Noell; grandson, Michael C. Noell; sister, Mavis N. Burnett and brother, Artress Nash.
