Ellen Burbage

Ellen Burbage, an extraordinary soul filled with warmth and tenacity, was born on the 1st of May, 1951 in Laurens, SC, USA. She was a pillar of strength and resilience, a testament to the power of perseverance. As once said by Helen Keller, "Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired, and success achieved." Ellen was the embodiment of this quote, living a life that was as impactful as it was inspiring. With a heart full of compassion and hands that knew the value of hard work, Ellen spent her years in the warehouse industry. She retired after giving more than three decades of dedicated service, leaving behind a legacy of tireless commitment and an indomitable spirit. This beautiful soul who was born in Laurens, made Lexigton, South Carolina her home for 54 years. Ellen, was an independent woman who led her life with grit, determination, and an unwavering resolve.

Survivors left to cherish her memory include her beloved daughters, Jenny Baker and Ashley Ceacal; son-in-law, Jerome Baker II; and sister, Nonna Burbage.

She was predeceased by her Life partner, Vickie A. Thompson; and parents, John and Annie Burbage.

Her life and legacy will be celebrated at a memorial service on Tuesday, 03 Mar 2026 at 12:00pm at Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium Lexington Chapel, located at 609 Northwood Road, Lexington, South Carolina, 29072.
