Elizabeth "Betty" Gunter

Services for Elizabeth “Betty” Louise Gunter, 94, will be conducted Monday, June 23, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Bethel Bible Church with Rev. Manuel Gunter officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Sister Care or Bethel Bible Church 112 Jules Rd Lexington, SC 29073.

Mrs. Betty passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2025. Born in Aiken County, she was a daughter of the late Luther Crosson and Ina Thornton Gunter. She worked in the textile industry where she would later retire from J.B. Martin Co.

Surviving are her sons, Lamar Gunter (Gerri), Bruce Gunter (Sharon); daughter, Ina Shumpert (Dale); sisters, Brenda Wise and Gail Storey, seven grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren, and eleven great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Marvin Gunter; a son, Marvin Randall Gunter; a daughter, Shirley Moskel; brothers, Arthur Gunter, Carlton Gunter, and Luther Crosson Gunter Jr.; and sisters, Vivian Gunter, Willow Mae Wise and Geneva Wood, and a granddaughter, Angela Michelle Fox.
