The funeral service to celebrate the life of Elizabeth Ann Witcher, 76, of Lexington SC, will be held Thursday, June 27th at 1pm at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church of Gaston. Graveside service will immediately follow at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens located at Hwy. 21 North in Orangeburg. The family will receive friends on Wednesday June 26th from 6-8pm at Barr-Price Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Mount Pleasant Baptist Church located at 310 Gator Rd Gaston, SC 29053.
Elizabeth “Lib” Witcher was born in Columbia, SC on August 3, 1942 to Joseph and Susie Crim. She went to be with Jesus on June 22, 2019. She was an active member of the M.O.C Auxiliary and served as Chaplain from 2002-2003. She retired from the Orangeburg County Disability and Special Needs Board after 14 years. Her life was spent serving the needs of military veterans and those with disabilities and special needs. She loved to read and spend time with family and friends.
She was preceded by her brother, Bobby Crim and sister, Shirley Wessinger. She is survived by her daughter, Donna Watts (Bobby); son, Billy Lucas (Cindy); and son, Alan Lucas; grandchildren; Monica McCartha, Dalton Mills, Perry Lucas, and Lee Lucas.
Pallbearers’ will be Clint Lucas, Robert Ragsdale, Brice Ragsdale, Chris Watts, Josh Watts and Mack McIver.
