Eli had an undeniable thirst for knowledge. He retained every bit of information he ever learned. He loved loving on people and helping others. He was a gentle giant with a larger-than-life presence and a belly laugh that would fill a room. He poured into other men at Oaks Recovery Center while he was there and remained close to many of them. He had a special bond with his family and was committed to becoming the man God wanted him to be.
Eli leaves behind his loving family, including his mother, Allison Taylor, (Darren); his father, Robert Phillips (Laura); his sister, Leah Phillips (Henry); and his brother, Asher Phillips. He also leaves behind bonus brothers and sister, many extended family members, friends, and loved ones whose lives were forever changed by his kindness, compassion, and unforgettable presence.
Eli truly never met a stranger. He had a gift for making everyone feel welcome, valued, and loved. His kindness, compassion, and unwavering faith touched countless lives, and the impact he made will never be forgotten.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Eli Phillips Recovery Scholarship fund on Venmo @EliPhillipsRecoveryScholarship. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
