Edwin L. "Scoot" Wallace

Columbia, SC formerly Asheboro, NC - The family of Edwin Linder “Scoot” Wallace, 66, will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, May 18, 2023 at Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 19, 2023 at Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro, NC with Pastor Zach Rich officiating. The family requests friends to wear your school colors to honor your team and dress casual. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the University of SC Office of Gift Processing, Athletics Department 1600 Hampton Street Suite 736 Columbia, SC 29208. 

Mr. Wallace, widower of Libby Jo Brown Wallace, passed away Saturday, May 13, 2023. Born in Columbia, he was a son of the late Edwin J. and Willie Mae “Dit” Cornwell Wallace. Mr. Wallace was a member of Main Street UMC, Columbia. He graduated in 1975 which was the last class of the Old Columbia High School and was a retired machinist.

Surviving includes his daughter, Carly (Zach Hardison) Wallace; brother, Harry (Mary Wayne) Wallace, Sr.; sisters, Frances (George) Powell and Grace (Terry) Brickle.

Pallbearers are Bruce Kneece, Joshua Lindler, JJ Lindler, Joey Lindler, Jaxon Howell and Eddie Howell.
