Edith "Edie" Lucas Bowen died November 29, 2008 at Providence Hospital.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday December 6, 2008, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses located at 120 Warner Drive, Columbia. Officiating director is Barr-Price Funeral Home, Lexington, SC, 803-356-4411.
Edith was born in Winnsboro, January 20, 1922, a daughter of the late Leon and Effie Lucas. Mrs., Bowen served as a R.N. at Kiser Perminete in Vallejo, CA for many years.
Surviving: a daughter, Jolene Pope (Tony), a son, Jody Gunter (Arlene) of Cadiz, KY, four sisters; Eddie Mae Jackson, Lois Lowman, Christine Hair and Nadine Powell, five grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.
The family would like to extend a special "Thank You" to Dr. Jeremy Ambroziak.
