Mrs. Earl Holley Bobbitt, 69, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 16, 2025 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 12, 1956 in Richland County to the late Gordon Holley and Blanche Gantt Holley. She was a graduate of W. Wyman King Academy in Batesburg. Earl worked in the medical field, where she would later retire as a medical receptionist. Following her retirement, she worked part time at Ed Smith Lumber Company in Gilbert as a sales clerk. Earl loved the Lord and studying her Bible. Devoted to her faith, she also was a member of Dutch Fork Baptist Church in Irmo. Earl had a green thumb, where she was a plant enthusiast, and loved to grow beautiful flowers. In her free time, she loved crafting, cross stitching, bead artwork, and yoga.
She leaves behind her sister, Nedra Holley Clamp (Hoyt); and many special nieces, nephews, extended family, friends, and her fur baby, Indie.
Earl was welcomed into Heaven by her beloved husband, David Bobbitt; brothers, Daniel Holley, Johnnie Holley, and Graham Holley; a beloved sister, Lanie Holley Bobbitt (Bob); and her special four legged companion, Grady.
A celebration of life will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, October 25, 2025 at Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Historic Batesburg-Leesville Chapel with the Rev. Chuck McAlister officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Private burial will be held at the Clamp Family Cemetery.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Brandi with Amedisys Hospice, Earl’s loving nieces that took such good care of her; putting themselves aside to love and care for Earl the past several months, Steve and Martha Smith for their loving help with Earl and her fur baby, Indie; and most of all, for everyone’s love and prayers during Earl’s illness.
"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith" 2 Timothy 4:7.
