Earl Ellis Obituary

Irmo, SC – Earl Eugene Ellis, 92, passed away March 16th, 2020 at Lexington Medical Center, in West Columbia,SC. He was born February 18th, 1928 in Hendricks County, IN to the late Fred Faye Ellis and the late Lenore Rebecca Beamon.

Earl graduated from Brownsburg High School in Indiana, and won the State Conference Championship with his basketball team. After graduating high school he joined the Navy. Upon discharge, he proceeded to Indiana University. He was a member of Belin United Methodist Church in Murrells Inlet, SC. He retired as a purchasing agent for Marion Heritage Sportswear and Signal Apparel Co.

Earl is survived by his wife, Frankie Gerrald Rish Ellis, whom he loved dearly; sons, Jeff Ellis, David Ellis; special nephew, Mike Bower of Bedford, IN; and grandchildren, Zackary, Beth, Ethan, Robert, and Paige. He was predeceased by his daughter, Jennifer Ellis; and his sister.

Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel, assisted the family.
