Graveside services for Dr. Patricia Lucas Risinger, 51, will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 5, at Union Lutheran Church Cemetery with the Rev. Bill Ebener officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Union Lutheran Church Cemetery Fund 4077 Hwy. 378 Leesville, SC 29070. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Historic Batesburg-Leesville Chapel.
Dr. Risinger passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2022. Born in Woodruff, SC she was a daughter of Barbara Jean Sturkie Lucas and the late Claxton Vernon Lucas. She was a 1989 graduate of Lexington High School, a 1993 graduate of Lenoir-Rhyne University and 1997 graduate of MUSC. Dr. Risinger completed her residency at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Women and Children, graduating in 2000, and was the owner/operator of The Pediatric Care Center of Batesburg-Leesville.
Survivors include her husband, Rodney W. Risinger; son, Joshua Risinger; daughter, Megan Risinger; her mother; brother, Steve Lucas (Kitty); sister, Angela Dowell (Billy); nieces and nephews, Melissa Dowell, Kayla Lucas, Stephen Lucas, Brooke Risinger and Travis Bishop.
