Doris Thornton Paul

Doris Thornton Paul, 88, was received into heaven on July 6th, 2020.  She was the daughter of the late Earl and Suzie Watson Thornton and was predeceased by her husband of 66 years, A.T. Paul, Jr.

She is survived by her son, Tetie (Lonna) and daughter, Susan Paul Miller (Robert, deceased).  She was “Granny” to her grandsons, Clint Paul (Cheryl) and Paul Miller (Alana); great grandsons, Pierson, Hudson and Colton Paul, and Jonah and Caleb Miller.  She is also survived by her numerous nieces and nephews. 

She was predeceased by three brothers, three sisters, son-in-law, Robert Miller, and her beloved grandson, Joseph Miller. 

Doris retired from General Electric corp.  She was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, the Golden Ages Sunday School Class, and the Loving Senior Group. 

A private service will be held.

The family would like to thank Tom Falk of Assisting Hands and his dedicated caregivers for the care, love and compassion shown to our mother.  They also extend their appreciation to the nurses and CNAs from Heart of Hospice for their loving care. 

In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Lexington.

The family is at the home of Susan Miller.

Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel, is assisting the family.
