Donna Jo Evans

Mrs. Donna Jo “Mema” Evans, 75, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, November 29, 2025. She was born in November of 1950 in Austin, Texas to the late Elton and Lucille Pollock. Donna was a 1968 graduate of LBJ High School in Johnston City, Texas. She was a business owner of Walden Pet Center / Dog Grooming for over 30 years. She also was a practicing member of the Catholic faith.  

Surviving are her husband of 55 years, Dean Evans; daughters, Cheryle Borsos (Dean) and Amy Iorlano (Matt); grandchildren, Matthew Iorlano (Emily), Derek Iorlano, Dylan Iorlano, Charlotte Borsos, Nancy Borsos, and Natalie Borsos.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family at a later time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to EWTN Christian TV Network, 5817 Old Leads Road, Irondale, AL 35210 or to Amedisys Hospice Foundation, 3854 American Way, Suite A, Baton Rouge, LA 70816.

Her family is extremely grateful for the love and care provided by her Hospice team in Newberry, SC.
