Deronda June “Peepsie” Hendrix, 94, passed away on Sunday March 8, 2026. She was born on November 20, 1931 in Leesville, to the late Lonnie J. and Catherine Snelgrove Frick. “Peepsie” was a manager, bookkeeper and worked at Town and Country Services Inc. for 30 years. She was a lifetime member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. “Peepsie” was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her son Jimmy Hendrix (Barbara), grandchildren; Lindsey Mitchell and Aaron Hendrix (Ashley), great-grandchildren; Bryson Mitchell, Avery Mitchell, Caide Hendrix and Trace Hendrix. June was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Bremon “Shorty” Hendrix, brother; Blandon Frick, sisters; Laverne Kaminer, Mozell Price and Ruby Taylor.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at 4 pm at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Priceville Rd Cemetery with Rev. Matt Lash officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials in her honor may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Priceville Cemetery Fund at 246 St Pauls Church Rd, Gilbert, SC 29054 or to the Batesburg-Leesville Masonic Lodge #138, located at 222 West Church St. Batesburg-Leesville, SC 29006.
