Deriel "Dee" Cromer

Dee Cromer, 78, of West Columbia, South Carolina passed away at home on Thursday March 18, 2021.  Dee had struggled the last six months with heart problems and dementia.  She was cared for in her final days at home by her family.   

Dee was born in Columbia to James Jeffcoat and Dellma Hart Jeffcoat.  She was married for 35 years to the love of her life and primary caregiver, Buddy Cromer.  Dee is survived by her husband, her sons, John Murray (Laura) of Lexington, Donald Murray (Paula) of Cayce and Jeff Murray (Nonita) of the Philippines; sister, Derain Frick of West Columbia, and sister-in-law, Alma Jeffcoat.  She has nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren to carry on her legacy.  Dee was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Jim Jeffcoat, and her beloved special needs daughter, Tosca Michelle Bowen, whom she cared for for 43 years.  Dee worked for many years in the automotive parts and service industry.

A memorial service for Dee and Michelle will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Dee's name to the charity of your choice.
