Mrs. Dedra Hall Taylor, 67, of Saluda passed away at home peacefully on Friday, March 20, 2026. She was born on October 25, 1958 in Greenwood, South Carolina to the late Melvin and Barbara Kay Hall. Dedra worked in the manufacturing industry, where she was a seamstress at Knight Industry in Saluda and Riegal Manufacturing in Johnston. She also was a cook for many years at Mom and Pop’s Convenience Store in Batesburg-Leesville. Devoted to her faith, Dedra was a member of Saluda Church of God where she was active in the Ladies Ministry when she was able. Dedra also attended Open Bible Church. She loved the simple things of life such as going to her hairdresser and getting her hair shampooed and styled, driving her Ford Bronco that she considered as her “dream car” and joy riding on the back of her husband’s Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Dedra was an avid South Carolina Gamecock fan, she loved to tailgate with her family at William Brice Stadium. Most of all she loved her family, especially her grandchildren.
Dedra is survived by her husband of 39 years, Clint Taylor; son, Sam Taylor (Christy); daughter, Nancy Jeannine Polson; brother, Darin Hall; grandchildren, Haley Polson, Andrew Polson, Dailee Taylor, and Kyler Polson; one great-granddaughter on the way; and her fur baby, Jo-Jo.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 27, 2026 at Open Bible Church with the Rev. Ron Bennett officiating.
